We have around 150 more notifications to send out.  Many of those will go out today or tomorrow.  However, some disks needed to be replaced, etc, so we are still looking at those films, and others in our final round, and it may take a few days longer for us to make decisions for those very last slots.

Dave Brubeck: In His Own Sweet Way

Posted in News on December 21st, 2010 | Be the first to comment

A big congrats to our own Bob Coughlin  (a judge at the 2010 Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival) who worked as researcher (he’s the one who found all the classic clips) on the documentary Dave Brubeck: In His Own Sweet Way.  The film played on TCM this month.  Yes, it would have been better to post this before it screened, but I didn’t find out till after.

It’s an excellent doc, with a great number of incredible clips of the superb jazz great. So seek it out.
